If the proof is in the pudding, that has to be the most proof soaked pudding I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting

COURSES & INSTRUCTION
Mountain bike skills courses, development and instruction have been at the heart of what CycleActive offers for over 10 years. We’ve been published in every mountain bike magazine, website and newspaper on the topic and our superb range of courses – delivered right across the UK – give all mountain bikers a way to step up their skills to new levels.
Our courses offer you:
Skills coaching
One-day mountain bike skills courses from beginner to expert level at trail centres around the country. Book them back to back and make a weekend of it. This works really well in The Lake District on our “Trail Centre Staveley” courses, as featured in What Mountain Bike magazine.
The very highest level of leadership training is available at CycleActive. Our own Chris Ford is one of just 6 Mentor Tutors for the MBLA scheme in the UK, responsible for the development of the tutoring scheme nationally. His cutting edge knowledge of leadership, skills coaching and group development makes these courses an exceptional learning experience for all.
The new proficiency scheme for mountain bike training follows in the footsteps of renowned programmes such as the BCU Star Awards. This is a great tool for coaches and leaders working with young people – having a nationally recognised 5-level award programme approved by all of the governing bodies.
We act as technical advisor for selected organisations, including some of the largest coaching and leadership providers in the private and public sector. Our role is to use our best practice knowledge to help our clients get the most out of their mountain bike, cycle, bmx or travel programmes, and to operate in a safe, educational and cost effective way.
Video Feedback and Online Review
On many of our courses we now use video to assist with your skills development. This is at the discretion of the instructor, as its use depends on where we are, the weather conditions and the requirements of the group. If you wish we can load video content onto our YouTube or Facebook pages so that you can review online, get additional feedback or ideas from our full coaching team, and benefit from your course for many months afterwards. You can also load up your own videos for us to give feedback on as you improve after the course – that’s all part of the service.
